History

This 1933 Ford Pickup belonged to our own Larry Eastwood, (Vic's Cafe, EWM Member and dinner caterer). It is eceptionally clean and somewhat unusual as he opted to retain a Ford Flathead as opposed to most similar street rods, converted to a Chevy or Ford ohv engines.

This particular engine was bored, stroked and relieved to what is called a 3/8 x 3/8 which gives it a very respectable 296 cubic inches. If that wasn't unusual enough, he added fuel injection which required a special ignition and related electrical upgrades. While fuel injection on flatheads was sometimes used in drag and oval track racing, it is extremely rare to see it on the street.
