History

Wes Kroeze built the quarter midget roadster for his 5 yr old son, Steve, in 1955. (Wes also built the black #95 three quarter midget also on display.)

Known as the "Little Red Race Car", it was purchased in a nonĀcomplete kit form in 1954 as Wes was on a budget. The missing items were either fabricated or purchased during the construction so it is somewhat of a "custom" car.

The Villier's motorcycle engine came out of an English James motorcycle which Wes was riding at the time. The grill was made from two halves, from two 1941 Ford Deluxe grills. The hinges are from a 1936 Ford Touring Sedan luggage door. The side trim is from a 1949 Mercury. The S in the front nerf, (bumper), is for Wes's son Steve.

Excepting replaced tires, this car is ALL original, original paint by Wes, original chrome, and original interior. We are told the engine leaks a lot of oil, a English characteristic, but runs like new. .
