History
Jimmy Oskie won five California Racing Association, CRA, Spint Car Championships during his career. The last three of Oskie's wins came while driving the beautiful JFK Sprint Cars in 1976, 1977 and 1979.
This twin 1980 Stanton was purchased new by the Boyd family of Illinois. It raced part time through the late 1990's. Eventually, it was purchased by Indiana's Sprint Car Hall of Fame driver, Jon Stanbrough, who restored it as a replication of the JFK/Oskie #1 car.
Jon brought the car to California to show at the Oval Nationals in 2014 where both he and Jimmy Oskie drove it as a pace car. The next outing was 2017 when Jon took the car to Knoxville during the Nationals. Once again, both Jon and Oskie ran some very impressive laps on the big half mile oval.
