History
The Model T was Henry Ford's idea of mass producing an affordable vehicle thus putting the average working person into the driver's seat. From the first Model T in 1909 to the last in 1927, appproximately 15 million were built and this 2 door sedan would have sold for approximately $300.00 or about $4,500.00 based on today's value.
Henry Ford probably kept his plan in polace a bit too long as other manufacturers passed him by with better engine and transmission designs as well as things such as self starting, which was a plus for women drivers and better electronics.
The first really all new Ford design in almost 20 years was the 4 cylinder Model A, which was produced from 1928 through 1931. Next came the 1932 Ford Model B which sported the first mass produced V-8 engine, which, once again, cornered the industry.
